Later that night, long after the rest of the coastline had fallen into a deep, peaceful slumber, she sat alone for a quiet moment on the balcony of the master suite. The world was vast, silent, and entirely still.
She looked down at her hands—steady, strong, and unmarked by the chains of her past. She thought about the frightened woman who had once stood in a grand, sunlit estate while her life was systematically dismantled by arrogance and cruelty. That woman was gone, swallowed by time and transformed by fire into an unbreakable sovereign.
