Fierce Mother Rescues Daughter Inside Luxury Mansion | Fast2tricks

The Red Handprint

Julian sat frozen on the sofa, his jaw hanging open as his fingers reached up to touch his burning face.

Julian: You hit me. You actually laid your hands on me in my own home!

Karen: I'll do a lot worse than that if you don't stay away from my daughter.

Beatrice: Call security, Julian! Have this violent woman arrested right now!

Beatrice scrambled up from the floor, smoothing down her ruined silk blouse with shaking hands.

Julian: Get the guards, Beatrice! Tell them to drag her down to the gate!

Karen: Go ahead. Call them. Let's see if your guards want to take the fall for child abuse.

Karen turned back to Lily, scooping the little girl into her arms and holding her close against her chest.

Lily: Mom, she bruised my arm. She pinched me because I wouldn't call her mother.

Karen: I know, sweetheart. I saw it. Daddy and his new wife are going to pay for every single mark on your body.

Julian: She's exaggerating! She fell on the playground this morning!

Karen: Shut your mouth, Julian! You sat right there on that couch and watched her get hurt!

Julian: I am her biological father! I have full legal authority over this household!

Karen: Not anymore you don't.

Karen reached inside her dark wool coat and pulled out a folded packet of legal papers bound with a blue official seal.

She tossed the heavy document straight onto Julian's lap, where it landed over his spilled bourbon.

Julian: What is this garbage?

Karen: That is an emergency injunction issued by Judge Miller at four o'clock today.

Julian: Judge Miller? My family donated fifty thousand dollars to his reelection campaign!

Karen: Then I guess your fifty thousand dollars wasn't enough to cover up the video footage I sent his office two hours ago.

Julian's face went completely pale, the red handprints on his cheeks standing out even more vividly against his sudden ghost-like skin.

Julian: What video footage?

Karen: The nanny camera hidden inside Lily's teddy bear, Julian.

Beatrice let out a sharp gasp, her hand flying over her mouth as she backed toward the hallway archway.

Beatrice: A camera? In the doll?

Karen: In the bear I gave her three days ago when you dragged her out of my apartment.

Julian: You recorded us inside my private residence? That's illegal wiretapping!

Karen: Not when it records evidence of active child endangerment and felony domestic assault, you idiot.

Julian: We didn't assault anyone! We were imposing discipline!

Karen: The judge called it torture, Julian. And he suspended your parental rights effective fifteen minutes ago.

Lily buried her face deeper into Karen's neck, her small shoulders still hiccuping with quiet sobs.

Lily: Can we go home now, Mommy? I want to go to my bedroom.

Karen: We're leaving right now, my love. Nobody in this house is ever going to touch you again.

Julian scrambled up off the white sofa, his hands trembling as he unfolded the court document on the glass coffee table.

Julian: This is a mistake. My attorney, Mr. Vance, will have this thrown out by tomorrow morning!

Karen: Call Mr. Vance then. Ask him what happens to a trustee when they misappropriate family trust funds to buy a twenty-million-dollar mansion.

Julian: The estate trust belongs to my family bloodline!

Karen: The trust was set up by your late grandfather specifically for Lily's care and education, Julian.

Julian: I am the primary administrator of that fund!

Karen: You were the administrator. Until the forensic audit showed you transferred three million dollars into Beatrice's offshore accounts last month.

Beatrice froze in her tracks, her eyes darting nervously toward the front doors.

Beatrice: Julian... what is she talking about? You said that money was a legal gift from your father's business!

Julian: Keep your mouth shut, Beatrice!

Beatrice: You told me it was clean money from the family firm!

Karen: It wasn't clean, Beatrice. It was Lily's inheritance money. And you used it to buy that diamond necklace around your neck.

Beatrice reached up, clutching the sparkling diamond choker at her throat as if it were suddenly burning her skin.

Beatrice: I didn't know! I had nothing to do with your family trust funds!

Karen: Tell that to the state prosecutor. He's standing right outside on the driveway.

Heavy footsteps crunching over gravel echoed from the open front doors, followed by the deep, authoritative voice of a man walking into the foyer.

District Attorney Sterling: Good evening, Julian. It's been a long time.

Julian stumbled back against the sofa, his eyes wide with fear as District Attorney Sterling stepped into the marble living room, flanked by two uniformed state troopers.

Julian: Thomas? What are you doing in my house?

District Attorney Sterling: I'm serving a federal search warrant for all financial records, servers, and bank statements linked to the Sterling Family Trust.

Julian: Search warrant?! On what grounds?!

District Attorney Sterling: On the grounds of grand larceny, wire fraud, and falsification of court documents regarding your child custody filings.

Beatrice: Officer, please! I'm just his wife! I didn't sign any of those business papers!

District Attorney Sterling: Mrs. Sterling, your name is listed as the sole proprietor of three shell companies in the Cayman Islands that received those wire transfers.

Beatrice let out a shriek of terror as one of the state troopers stepped forward, pulling a pair of steel handcuffs from his utility belt.

Officer Henderson: Hands behind your back, ma'am. Do not make this harder than it needs to be.

Beatrice: Julian! Do something! Call your father! Tell him to fix this!

Julian: Don't touch her! You have no idea who my father is!

District Attorney Sterling: Your father was stripped of his CEO title at the boardroom meeting two hours ago, Julian. He's currently being questioned at the central precinct.

Julian fell back onto the sofa as if he had been punched in the gut, his breathing coming in ragged, shallow gasps.

Julian: My father... ousted from the firm? That's impossible. He owns forty percent of the voting shares!

District Attorney Sterling: Not after Karen surrendered her thirty percent stake to the board of directors this afternoon.

Julian turned his head slowly, looking at Karen with absolute horror in his eyes.

Julian: You... you surrendered your voting shares?

Karen: My father left those shares to me in his will, Julian. I kept them for ten years hoping you would grow up and become a decent man for our daughter.

Julian: You gave them to the board? To my rivals?!

Karen: I gave them to people who actually care about keeping this company alive, instead of using it as a personal piggy bank for gambling debts and country club memberships.

Julian: You ruined us! You destroyed my entire legacy in a single afternoon!

Karen: You destroyed yourself the second you let that woman put her hands on my child.

Officer Henderson clicked the handcuffs securely around Beatrice's wrists, making her burst into loud, pathetic tears.

Beatrice: Julian, please! I can't go to jail! My skin can't handle prison clothes!

Officer Henderson: Walk, ma'am. Move toward the front door.

Beatrice: You bastard! You told me you were a billionaire! You told me we were safe!

Beatrice spat right at Julian's feet as the trooper guided her out of the room, her high heels clicking frantically against the marble floor.

Julian: Thomas, listen to me man... we went to Yale together! We were in the same fraternity!

District Attorney Sterling: Which is why I know exactly how arrogant and sloppy you've always been with money, Julian.

Julian: I can pay back the three million! I'll sell the yacht! I'll sell the summer house in the Hamptons!

District Attorney Sterling: The bank placed an emergency lien on all your physical assets thirty minutes ago. You don't own the yacht anymore. You don't even own this house.

Julian looked around the grand marble living room, at the crystal chandeliers, the priceless oil paintings, and the white silk furniture, realization finally breaking over his face.

Julian: The bank... foreclosed?

District Attorney Sterling: The mortgage on this mansion was four months past due, Julian. You were paying the interest using stolen trust funds.

Karen: The bank transferred the deed to the trust fund an hour ago, Julian. Which means this house belongs to Lily now.

Julian: To a six-year-old child?!

Karen: To a six-year-old child whose mother is the sole court-appointed guardian of her estate.

May you like

Karen adjusted Lily in her arms, looking down at Julian with icy indifference.

Karen: Which means you are officially trespassing on my daughter's property.
